HERE IS THE REASON FOR TEXAS:

”eventually establish a much larger silkworm rearing facility than our current Indiana based location can support.”

Source is the 2017 Q1 SpiderSense Newsletter:

There is a photo of the trees in the lower left. They are just babies. It is my understanding that it takes a mulberry tree 2 years to mature. Our lab in the U.S. will need to get bigger. And if a super spidersilk is created it might even justify greater U.S. production. Either way, there is a plan to eventually expand the U.S. lab and these plantings will be the source of fresh mulberry leaves for our super worms. Kim owns the property. I don’t care. The guy is doing great for me so far and has a vision. He has not abandoned his vision therefore expansion of U.S. operations is still on the table in my opinion. Might not happen for several years, but the trees will be ready at least. Even in Vietnam new mulberry trees were planted a while ago to support operations there too.

KONG ON!!!! Still waiting 3Q/4Q can’t come fast enough for me. IMHO
