"It will slow down their ability to do business with the poached talent and tech."

if dupont decides to go that route, it would make no sense to do it timidly..they will go all out...and it will be a short battle..

and heres a clue...the matter will not be decided in a courtroom...it will be decided with negotiations after dupont has beat down kblb in many different ways...once kim finds out what he is up against and realizes just how much litigation will cost him in terms of money and time he really no longer has, and seeing kblb on life support, he will be happy to receive a generous offer...the generosity will be to him, personally ...and will not involve shareholders...shareholders will then need to find their own lawyers and fund that litigation...which wont happen...and no, no one will take the case on contingency...fight with penny stock investors against dupont?..lol...you will need money up front and they will pretend to fight for you..

"I think the Army would rather do business with a company that is on the verge of (or already at) mass production of what they want."

absolutely..and that can be a tiny company or a huge dupont that they have done business with for a hundred years...they will choose dupont...every time and anytime they have a choice..

"Dupont taking over would mean they'd be starting from the ground up in Vietnam to go through the same process as Kraig. Maybe they could do it more quickly, but maybe not."

they could do it 100 times quicker...and theres no maybe..

"The Vietnamese gov may see a bigger fish with deeper pockets as a nice cow to milk."

the first thing dupont will do is go back to lame dong and set up business there...and no one will stop them..quite the opposite...they will be welcomed with open arms...after they grease the palms of those that need it...they are not queasy about that...and no one will care..

that's where kblb should be...quang nam is a sorry second choice..

"And doing mass production in the US has already shown to not be optimal. "

its been shown that kim couldn't do it...which is no surprise...
I don't know if that means no one can...

"They're still accountable and if we're talking about re-outfitting the Armed Forces"

I don't know what you mean by "re-outfitting"...the army needs to clothe their soldiers...they had clothes before, they have clothes now, and they will have clothes in the future...its just a matter of where they come from..

"even with just protective gear at first -- that would be a massive undertaking and cost would absolutely be a factor, even for the DoD."

they are already providing protective gear..and yes, it is a massive undertaking...but they have been doing it since forever...and sure it costs money...and they have been paying massively for a very long time...and they change and update gear and suppliers all the time...constantly..

im not sure what you think is going to happen with dupont that is so different?....
