You are missing one more thing - risk vs. reward. For those who can get in now, they can accumulate a ton of shares for very little money. So, if the company craps out - oh well!. But if the company comes back to even a penny, your investment of $300-$500 for a million shares can result in $10,000 or more.

So, for me, the reward outweighs the risk.
