Second quarter is 2/3d done. Amazing how time flies when you have to report earnings. Why is short interest so high? Let's talk about non-profitable beverage companies. Take a look at Castle Brands. They make some great alcoholic beverages. I have consumed many of their wonderful offerings. But, alas, in spite of good products, they just don't make money and therefore I don't own a share. Look at their chart someday (ROX). Yep, it once or twice was all hype and glory until quarter after quarter of loses produced a line chart that resembles Mt Everest, with the peak on the left margin, dropping precipitously downward from that peak of interest to the dismal present. You have to produce positive earnings if you want to see share prices increase. If you don't, you are a shorter's dream come true.
