And you forget After Berlin Patton wanted to continue on to Moscow.

I'm very familiar with the whole history since my dad who was born in 1911 lived through 2 wars and enlisted prior to WWII since he had figured out we were going again.

One of the ironies is he had at one time had the chance to go over to Europe to drive for Patton. He obviously was pretty pissed about that.
