I think, GT, Kraig may already have a profitable plan in place! Seeing as Polartec is in the business of creating fabrics and is a 'mover' and 'supplier', as well as a 'developer' of materials, I think that announcing their involvement was a precurser and we'll soon be seeing more details about Polartec and Kraigs 'plans' to transform the thread into certain products and 'move it!' Polartec has a 'line' of materials with properties along the lines of Spider Silk and SS also 'fits' into their 'recyclable' and 'eco friendly' aims, so it's likely they'll 'incorporate' Spider Silk into the existing materials they sell to the military already. Incorporating and 'blending' Spider Silk thread into already existing materials and products could possibly be an easier task than creating completely new materials and products, and might mean that the quantities Kraig 'initially' supplies would go 'farther' and market 'faster'. Meanwhile production would probably just continue to produce larger quantities. I think that's why they announced Polartec, because it both will get the silk to market, stretch the first available quantities, and also allow the time it takes to produce even greater quantities and reach 'full' production. In my mind that kind of a 'cumulative' plan would create both profits and room for further growth and marketing possibilities. A board of directors search is probably for furthering Kraigs Brand and possibly later move into other products and marketing of their own, otherwise they could just leave that to Polartec's already well known name. Kraig never searched for 'business guys' before while developing the product, so they must be planning their own products or branding somewhere down the road. I think they have a timeline and plan for profit already in place! This will also undoubtedly attract a lot more investment and development capital, because, let's face it, one factory is just a start if you're going to supply the world and be number one, so 'expansion' must be high on Kraigs grocery list here!
