If the answer were to be "SPLIT STOCK", then the claim is completely unsupported fantasyland! Assuming the Board of Directors' and regulators approve a "STOCK SPLIT", a company can split its stock anytime it is moved to do so!
TO EVEN MAKE LOGICAL SENSE OF "NEVER SPLIT BEFORE A BUYOUT" IS IMPOSSIBLE!
How much "before a buyout"? What's the timeframe? FIVE YEARS? TWO MONTHS? THREE DAYS? FIFTEEN MINUTES? What happens if a company "SPLITS", then is subsequently approached to be acquired? Or vice versa...a company does a "SPLIT" and subsequently finds a prospective acquisition candidate?
THE SUPPOSITION IS UTTER NONSENSE, NOT EVEN REMOTELY SUPPORTED BY ANY FACTS. THE CONTRIVED "NO SPLIT" CLAIM IS CATEGORICALLY 100% FALSE!
