HPT
I bought some of this REIT at $25.77 AVG, as I think it is a pretty good deal.
1) They recently raised their divy one they could easily pay of .54 a share a quarter, which is almost a 8.4% yield.
2) Although q1 didn't look great, that was because of the renovation of numerous hotels, I expect results to look better in future quarter,as these renovation make the places more attractive and the government shutdown is behind us, which was also a factor in q1.
3) HPT is trading at just 7 times trailing normalized FFO, I think the stock should trade closer to 10 (FV $35). Even if I'm wrong there is good support in the 25's that I strongly believe will hold, and your getting 8%+ to wait.
Conclusion: I think HPT is a attractive investment, that could have 30-40% upside if I'm right, Limited downside in my opinion, and you get piad over 8% while you wait. So that is the short reason why i like it. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
