Pro - as in positive
Gression - like Agression without the A
Free - as in NONE

Progression Free Survival

The meaning of this is that the cancer did not progress and the survival period where this happened is LONGER than the next best drug.

And, well, you see... that is a good thing.

Here is another one, "futile".

Used in a sentence, "Your rhetoric is futile."

So far, anyway.

The FDA does not allow studies to continue that are "futile".
