Beverages were how Dixie got started and they just won an award for one of their beverages. I believe that they might have overshot the mgs of thc in some of their drinks with "blitzing" amounts that would only appeal to die hard stoners. I noticed on of their beverages appeared to be a single serve which was sure to lead to overstoned for most people if they drank it all.
The infused adult beverage market has realized that quicker onset times and offset times are desirable and are meeting those goals. Quality, consistency, flavour and price will be the determining factors for the winners.
We hear a lot about cannabinoid infused beverages but not many that are winning awards, so I would be inclined to pick those.
Then there is the other 100 or so skus that have been formulated and produced by Dixie. That is huge and a real base to build out on, which is the stage Dixie is at, which I am sure is why they went public to access that big pool of investment dollars.
There are lots of potential contenders, but not many with that kind of IP and tested and proven recipes, including the biggie, Canopy Growth.
Dixie built this company privately and now they are letting in public investors. I'm not sure why they aren't promoting the hell out of that fact.
We have a lot to look forward to, with the US just starting to get traction, despite the Feds still living their war on marijuana. The US has a lot of established cannabinoid companies that are doing pharma quality for patients, especially with cbds, so swinging over to THC adult rec will be easy for them, when the Feds and State get on the same page.
The failure rate for new beverages is around 85%, so there is that! I doubt that an award winning bevie with 9 years presence will fail.
Of course, the consumer has the final word and repeat sales are essential to be considered a successful product. glta and dyodd
