Two things come to mind the issue price to those new investors might be a lot higher than the share price at the time of issue and or they might increase the Authorised Share count. Also those shares might be restricted for some time maybe?
Some may see the issue of new shares to institutional investors as a bad thing but here’s another way to look at it - the company’s balance sheet hugely improves with a big increase in cash at bank or shareholders funds. Which is another way to look at it.
