I can't figure it out either. I used to put in bids higher than the current bid to keep it from dropping but the lower bids would still be filled as mine would stay open all day. I called fidelity and they told me some BS story. You would think that the higher bid would go through first. Just like if I were selling a car if someone offered me more money why would I take less. It also works the other way. Ask was .08 , that's what I thought I was purchasing for I put in order to buy for 20000 got 5000 filled at .08 and 15000 at .19 I was pissed. Then right after it went through price dropped back to .08 never to see .19 again. That should be illegal.
