Often the hardest person to forgive is one's own self.....folks have a tendency to really beat up on themselves, sometimes we are our own worse enemy. Many can not understand how God could ever forgive them for the bad that they have done.......If I may offer a bit of food for thought, Peter was a close apostle of Jesus , yet at the end he denied knowing Jesus 3 times, even to the point of denying so strongly that he cursed to make his point----I DON'T KNOW *&^%(#@ THE GUY-----At Peter weakest moment he failed Christ, himself & his faith miserably -------yet----his faith was not overthrown....As we know Peter became a real rock upon which the church was built.
If you feel unworthy, if you can not imagine how God could ever forgive you, take a moment and think on the disciple Peter.....Here we have a man who walked side by side with Jesus, who experienced all the teaching & preachings of Jesus, who experienced 1st hand all the miracles of Jesus, who professed that Jesus was the Son Of God, ----yet--- he denied his Lord & Savior, but God forgave him and Peter went on to become a Rock upon which Jesus built His church.......Forgiveness is there for us all, all we have to do is ask, all we have to do is put our pride aside and ask for forgiveness........
Jus a passing thought----God Bless & hang in there, the week-end is on the way
