Not true. There can be sells without buys.

MM's exist to buy up shares for sale if there are insufficient buyers. That is what MM's do to maintain liquidity and price stability in the market for individual stocks.

Without them given that today sells outnumber buys by 10 to 1, ARYC would be down huge.
