It's always a 50-50 proposition as to which way a CEO will get money to live on. I think the R/S route is better to use in the middle of a pump on the latest venture rather than at the beginning, as people are already stuck in it. The increase, in this case, only translates into a 1:2 R/S which on the face of it seems harmless. Under the faucet is turned on, of course.

You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him get down on one knee and do an Al Jolson impression!
