The departmental government will sign an agreement with Florida Atlantic University, FAU, to link foreign native teachers to the 'Quindío Bilingüe y Competitivo' program led by the sectional administration. The administration was achieved by Governor Carlos Eduardo Osorio Buriticá in his recent visit to Florida, United States.

The quindiano leader highlighted the participation of the Quindío University in this management, as well as the reception he found in the foreign institution that committed to work hand in hand with the sectional administration so that the bilingualism program is successful and can be expanded to the rest country.

"We are waiting for this week the Florida Atlantic University legal office to review the documents to sign the agreements and once they are ready to start working. Also, the FAU was committed to work in a timely manner in the selection of personnel that will come to Quindío, "said Osorio Buriticá. It is expected that by the first week of July English teachers arrive at the department.

Foreign investment in the department.

Another of the governor's efforts in his visit was that the One World Pharma company chose Quindío to invest more than $ 5 million dollars to make a laboratory and plant cannabis for medicinal purposes. This investment will generate more than 250 new jobs in the department in the year 2020.
