Be happy they are not constructing dams in the US. The permits and preliminary approvals takes 8 to 10 years. The average proccess is 15 years from start to finish.

Its actually really sad that in America it's way easier to drill a oil and gas well than to build a hydrodam. Our country is particularly screwed up in making progress in some areas.
