The company is not responsible for the trial results. That's the compound doing its thing. In fact I think they did quite well with handling the P and B trials. (The P CRO and botched interim not withstanding.) I think K took longer to nail down in the Phase 1 than necessary. But that's moot; the extra year that Phase 1 took is minor compared to the K delays due to lack of funding.

What's happening is that we have an MFO that is willing to finance us temporarily but only if they get majority ownership in the company. And that is natural if we can't get a partner, because of the risk. We get diluted as a necessary result. Biotech risk.
