But canopy's SP is twice Acreage's.....As for speculative, if Canopy is speculative then so is the entire industry. I see it as the sure thing it is in reality because this "new" product has been making billions of dollars for the last 90 years and people were risking jail over it, what do you think is going to happen when fully legalized? I know, they talk about the fact weed is a commodity and the price will drop but Corn is a commodity and Frito-Lay makes loads of money. This is ending prohibition2.0 Canopy is offering Acreage a way to get an edge on its competitors. In the USA there are a huge number of competitors, they are all waiting with their hands tied behind their backs and Acreage can get access to funding and resources no other US player can if they take the deal. Remember, the US may be the biggest market, they also have the largest number of fledgling weed companies going after the same customers. The rest of the world is wide open if you have the right connections. I can not find the clip but even John Baynor was talking about a timeline of between a year and 18 months. The vote for the deal is in 2 that gives the combined company the chance to pick up great partners for 10 months before everyone else in the states is unshackled. I hold both companies so it is fine ith me either way but I will vote yes. We are better together than competing for the same customer.
