I've already addressed that argument. Higher and higher concentrations of asphaltenes and paraffinic compounds in the hydrocarbon base liquid give rise to the greater and greater density and viscosity measurements in heavier and heavier crude. That is a very predictable relationship and gives rise to the passage you quoted. However, that still does not justify the statement that greater density causes greater viscosity due to some Physical Law of Nature. It simply means that a hydrocarbon base liquid will become more dense and more viscous if mixed with other more dense and more viscous compounds than itself. Big deal.
