I've placed for a variety of amounts and through a number of platforms. Here's the message I get regardless:

We were unable to process this order as either a Cease Trade Order (CTO) or trading halt has been enforced on this security.

Orders cannot be accepted for securities with CTOs. To confirm active CTO details please visit https://www.securities-administrators.ca .

Market orders are not permitted for securities that are halted. You can however submit a DAY order with a LIMIT price or wait until the halt is lifted before submitting your order. Trading halt notices should be revealed in issuer press releases and/or exchange websites."
