Fannie Mae-No Politics (FNMA)

FNMA and FMCC decided to voluntarily register their securities with the SEC. FMCC had to wait to raise capital until this was complete because they knew they could not raise the billions they needed without a registration statement in 2008.

Here is the SEC action and FNMA letter. FNMA decided to register much before FMCC. We do not know if this will matter but we should be aware that FNMA and FMCC are Exempt Issuers.
