Also the accreditation process is a joke, thankfully as it is really a governmental CYA and a mostly a hurdle for people to invest at the wholesale level.

Like most regulations probably had good intentions and saves some people from predatory investments but probably does more harm than good IMOP.

Forces people to invest at the retail level and never become an “insider”. AlsoThere really is no process, other than accumulating the wealth to qualify as accredited and then signing a piece of paper confirming you meet the standards.
