yes, dshade's post kind of confirmed what i was already thinking about ascm. notice ascm rushes to the top of the bid immediately when the ask moves up. i think they are representing a big buyer on the bid. i also think that ascm on the ask is representing the remaining restricted shares being sold and not newly issued dilutive shares.
