But as I play over the events in my head... way too many times... it just seems they really wanted this thing to succeed.

it was the shareholders/victims of this scam who wanted "this thing to succeed"

that is always the case in every single penny stock scam, and arguably every type of scam that has vaporized money from others pockets.

those running the scam win no matter what and they rarely even get a slap on the wrist for their crimes.
