The market is just plain expensive.

Look at the forward P/E's of the major indices here -

Look at the P/E's of Amazon, Chipotle, Microsoft, Netflix, Facebook, Visa, PayPal, etc., even Xilinx and Keysight have gotten way ahead of themselves. Investors may wake up soon and remember the old adage is to sell high.
