More than likely some small-time investor became impatient and couldn't wait to get shares. Price spikes at low volumes don't mean anything. It will just as likely drop right back down. If volumes ever get over 1% and are sustained it will mean something.

If anything starts to happen, the news will leak among the Insiders and they'll tell their friends. Volumes will start to increase, though not necessarily the price. As more and more people get wind of any good news, volumes will really start to increase and so will the price.

Look for volume. Then, of course, a couple weeks later the rest of the world will get the news.
