Good news for Univec shareholders. Public opinion is moving strongly in favor of allowing medical and adult recreational cannabis use. Millions of Americans realize cannabis and its derivatives are life-changing medicines for folks afflicted by debilitating diseases and ailments. Hundreds of millions of people already have or soon will have access to the health-protecting and health-improving properties of cannabis --- particularly CBD.

The good news is that Congress is listening.

Congress is gearing up for a major vote on legal pot — one that could make cannabis legal at a federal level once and for all.

Jim McGovern, who chairs the House Rules Committee that decides how legislation moves on the House floor, said that the House of Representatives is getting ready to vote on the federal legalization of cannabis “within the next several weeks.”

Research studies are gearing up aimed at proving the medical benefits of cannabis, and I suspect the medical trials for Univec’s products are nearly complete, or very soon will be.

Easter and Passover weekend is a special time of year. Besides a religious holiday, it is also considered the beginning of spring for many. However, what some may have forgotten is that April 19 was the day “the shot was fired heard around the world.” In 1775 The American Revolutionary War began with the battles of Lexington and Concord. On that eventful day, an ill-prepared and ill-equipped army of American colonists met British troops at Lexington, Massachusetts and shots were exchanged. At that time in history Britain was a world power considered second to none, and America was simply no match for such a formidable military.

For Univec investors, the shot heard round the world will be the completion of medical trials proving the efficacy of medical cannabis in the treatment of specific medical ailments. I suspect the first trails will only address a couple of serious issues (perhaps two, three, or maybe four), but more will certainly follow. The future looks bright my friends, and it’s good to see so many supporters of this effort.
