I agree that open market purchases from insiders is good. However, about what should Dr. Chan be informing the shareholders? He will (is required to) inform shareholders when there is material news. Otherwise, it would be irresponsible and show weakness and lack of confidence if he just spoke to address the share price. He should be concerned about moving the company forward, which I believe he is, and not about assuaging nervous retail investors who worry about swings in share price, which are very normal for emerging biotechs.
