Taxes are around 40% when you have used all your deduction. My last year working here in Canada I paid 42% with a LOT less deduction and a LOT less benefits. Here you can't deduct your mortg and one has to pay for medical/dental/extended health etc which you don't do in Denmark when you retire. You may ask :" What am I doing in Canada"?. Canada has been extremely good to me but if I hadn't immigrated years ago, I would never immigrate today. $$$UCPA$$$
