And as someone that has worked with IBM in the past I can tell you that legit startups don't have the red tape that major US corps do. US based companies have many rules and regs the have to follow when it comes to encryption and from what I have read Paranotek is based outside of the US.
Now of course this all depends on whether or not you even think the company is legit which is a different story but from what I have seen so far they are and the reason above would be why IBM, Google, HP and others don't have this tech in place already.
