Here in San Diego, when crude was selling for $80 in August, the fools in their Hummers and lifted Excursions were still tripping down the freeway at 90 MPH plus. Oh yeah, so was almost everybody else.

When oil was $25 a barrel, $50 was unthinkable. Now, $100 is just a little bit around the corner.

There are so many global chokepoints, so many tapped out fields, so many opportunities for disruption - both short term and long term, it's just a question of time.

You know when I'll consider that oil prices have made an impact on the US economy?

When people start driving the speed limit.
