LOWE’S DISCOUNTS DURING CLOSURE SALES
In April 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Lowe’s for allegedly falsely advertising that customers would get “40%-60% off the lowest ticketed price” of items during a closure sale when, according to plaintiffs, customers didn’t always get the advertised discount. The complaint claims that the retailer sometimes overcharged customers for merchandise, failed to apply a discount of at least 40%, or did not apply any discount at all. (Dugo et al v. Lowes has had so many wage, EEOC, FCRA, and FINRA violations just in the last several years. How much more before this retailer is brought to its knees?
