Bobby here. It gets confusing as to what testing information can and can't be made public. Often, I will sit on information that I have that I don't publish first just so I am not in that gray area of "this shouldn't have been made public." In the case of Toyota, Levitate, and Iowa State University members which supported the testing, and Toyota Motors collaborated on a series of journal articles that highlight their story with adopting shoulder support exoskeletons.
Note that Toyota Motors has been very clear that they are willing to work with any shoulder support exoskeleton system, not just the Airframe.
Toyota Management and HR have also approved that the information can be released to the media and to other car manufacturers in the spirit of promoting safety in the workplace. Again a note, this is still a study. According to their presentation at WearRAcon19, this is month 6 of a 24 month study. Toyota have no problem discontinuing or expanding their use of wearables at any time or replacing them with an administrative or engineering change. (the install base is 400 shoulder supports exos, a small fraction of them are EksoWorks Vests) Remember that PPE (personal protective equipment) should always be used as a last resort.
Back on subject. There is test data. A LOT of it is confidential. Some is out there but not in any sort of organized centralized place. This has been noted as an, lets say, "opportunity for improvement" for the industry, but no one has stepped up with funding to build an independent 3rd party storage location that can pull all test results on wearable robotics, nor are there any finalized standards on how to perform those tests in the first place. Guess its the growing pains of a brand new industry.
