Actually you don’t know and you should read about it. Both companies (CVS & WALGREENS)stated that they would not be selling any CBD-based supplements or food additives. Under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, it is illegal to introduce drug ingredients like CBD into the food supply or to market them as dietary supplements.

“Selling unapproved products with unsubstantiated therapeutic claims is not only a violation of the law, but also can put patients at risk, as these products have not been proven to be safe or effective,” FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said in a statement in December. Both CVS and Walgreens have stated they will sell only creams and salves merchandised in a dedicated display.

To assure accurate labeling and safety for customers, CVS has partnered with Eurofins, a third party laboratory, to test all CBD topicals for THC, CBD content, and other contaminants, Mike DeAngelis a CVS VP and head of their PR Department stated.

This is my business, I keep up with it on a daily basis. I spoke with Mike (DeAngelis) today. He stated the first companies products placed on sku will be Curaleaf, MetaCan, New Leaf Pharmaceuticals, Cannavera, Puur, and 4 others. He was kind enough to forward me this photo of the first displays which have already been rolled out. As you can see, no CVSI. Also they’re not making a CBD Aisle, just a small display in each store. I’d like to have seen them start with some CVSI Products too as I’m also a shareholder and it would benefit me as well.

I have a call in to the gentleman who holds the same position with Walgreens as Mike does with CVS and will report back what I find. ROTFLMAO
