I do know that iETH distribution was a global air drop from day 1. Also looks like MIT may be behind the smart contract code. Appears to be faster and cheaper than bitcoin.
Please let me know if you find a published article from Apple regarding the affiliation with iETH.

Appears only 5 million tokens on the exchange the rest appear to be held in long term wallets.
Simple supply and demand says this is going way over a dollar.
