MATAWAN, N.J., Sep 23, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- iVoice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IVOC), a leader in speech recognition technology, today announced The Housing Authority of the City of Decatur Georgia has installed and developed an IVR application with iVoice's IVR Application Generator Tool.

The Housing Authority of the City of Decatur Georgia provides both public housing and Section 8 housing to residents of the city of Decatur. Applicants for housing are placed on a waiting lists based on certain criteria. The waiting list presently has approximately 7000 applicants. The iVoice IVR application is used to allow applicants to call in and discover what their position is on several lists, simply by dialing in their Social Security Number. An access database is also used to maintain a record of all the calls received.

iVoice IVR systems enable callers to make open-ended queries while in the middle of a menu prompt, directing them to the correct information faster. Furthermore, an IVR enabled call center can offer self-service capabilities to callers so they can conduct transactions over the telephone. iVoice's proprietary IVR user interface is able to deliver a powerful solution capable of providing fast, reliable and user-friendly applications to handle transactions such as order fulfillment, obtaining shipping information, obtaining flight information, initiating banking or retail transactions, obtaining product warranty information, confirming reservations, or any other interactive transaction via telephone.

DDHA is an acronym for the two combined housing authorities serving both the City of Decatur and DeKalb County. The two Authorities have separate Boards of Commissioners that oversee the direction of each Authority respectively, but share the same administrative and executive staff. Similarly, programs, including public housing and Section 8, are administered jointly, but are funded separately.
