That's not what happened at all.

They rolled the dice that they could recover share value before about 1.5 million dollars of convertible debt converted. They didn't understand the difference between the CD note holders they used originally at a higher price, and the mercenaries that they were able to get notes with as their credit worsened.

This was 100% caused by the companies getting into a classic toxic debt spiral. the OS went from about 35 million to 2 billion in less than 12 months.

for there sake, I hope they have learned never to take that much convertible debt out again, but many shareholders have lost money here trusting that they would get the debt under control. And they didn't.

Now it's a new day, and they have another chance to prove themselves. It will be interesting to see what happens when the D comes off the ticker.
