FDA stands for "F**king Dumb A$$es". all they are is a dog-on-a-leash being directed by pharma lobbyist money.
sure- let's ban a substance that has been consumed for decades without any reported negative effects, and strong evidence of largely beneficial effects. it's only "bad" because it cannot be patented, controlled and monetized by pharma, threatens to weaken revenue streams on certain money-maker drugs.
FDA thinks it is much more important to 'preserve' consumption of harmful food ingredients such as High Fructose Corn Syrup, genetically modified wheat, which are causing wide-spread obesity and pre-diabetic / diabetic issues in our population. Which leads to ongoing large revenue streams for pharma drug makers.
