When I hear r/split to 'inflate' the share price for listing purposes, have 2 reactions:
-if the fundamentals/state of the company at present aren't enough to hold the share price at the minimum value needed, and nothing is changing in the company's outlook at the time of the split, I do not expect the 'new share' price to hold up.
-If there is no reason, I expect that once the 'excitement' of the spilt dies off, for the short sellers to show up and in a vacuum of buyers, drive the share price 'lower'.

This all said, I traded out my 3rd round of shares on APHB since the 20 cent level when it was up around 33 cents. I don't intend to be a buyer until after the r/split, and then after the chart shows the price is holding firm at whatever price level it decides to settle at. For I do not see r/splits as something I want to be part of.

Plus, with their ph 1 trial not starting till likely after the merger (? Unless someone has a month and I missed it??), with the length of the trial unknown (keeping an eye out for a link to the trial details) for a possible 'end date'... not in a hurry to be a buyer of new shares...

disclaimer: 3 trades made since it dipped sub 20 cents.. intend to own shares again, but not getting in the way of a r/split done to meet index listing reqts
