Glad he cancelled, it was a stupid perk.

Life insurance while you are employ: YES
Life insurance while retiree and fishing in the gulf with no life jacket: NO
5 to 10,000 dollars is much better for the current employees for their medical insurance and their family. A happy employee will be productive.
And who knows, it can be re-instated 3 years from now for the remaining living retirees.

Way to go Eddie. Good move.
