Interesting to see the recommendation for a jury trial, which is what Apple asked for and which Koh refused to allow.

Was her mind already made up or could not the face the long trial till 2020 dealing with claim construction, etc. - a bit too much work, complicated or too technical for her?

Would she have allowed the factual evidence that PTAB judge panel allowed every single claim in favor of VPLM - by the three judges are experienced in patent laws and conflict resolution. It may be a blessing in disguise that she is gone.
