"Do you know anything about either of these drugs, Forteo and Tymlos? I was just diagnosed with severe osteoporosis and the rheumatologist wants to put me on one of these for 12 months-18 mos followed up by two injections of Prolio over the next year."



This isn't unusual at all. Forteo is to build bone rapidly, and the Prolia (denosumab) is used to maintain and continue to build bone. Better that than one of the bisphosphonates.
