You're reading it wrong. The higher the stock price, the fewer shares any bond owner will receive after the conversion to stock.

The price of GERS stock is just over twice the price I paid for 10,000 shares last year, so any bond holder who converted then got more shares then than he would have gotten for a conversion now. My analysis also said that the bond holders who converted and held their stock would be making a wise decision IMHO because there's a liklihood that the GERS price will go up from here.
