I am Luke's youngest brother, I happened across this mess due to his son pointing out these discussion about him. I will confirm for you he is dead, I claimed his body myself with our mother back in 2017. This was caused by an overdose from a drug addition he acquired while he was in jail. Rather actually, from bad drugs(hot dose not actually over dose) he received while trying to beat that addiction.
In addition, to answer your other question, Luke was not involved in the alleged money laundering incident, that was our father, LRJ II who is also dead. My father was not involved in the jewelry scam, he made offshore trust's for clients who sought to protect money, and didn't ask questions as to where it came from.
My brother didn't own any jewelry stores, my dad was partial owner in one he invested capital to start with a friend. My dad did however own a chain of pawn shops he started, which my brother ran for him. Most of what my brother listed as his qualifications where lies, my brother always sought the easy way on things. Some of the companies he broadcast as being affiliated with he was merely in middle management with.
Luke got into the penny stock world through affiliation with some odd customer my father built a trust for, unfortunately I can't recall his name. Yet, finally, my brother was not a white supremacist, his ex wife is half Jewish and one of his sons by blood his partially Jewish as well. My entire family has been students of history because my grand mom, and her side of the family was born in Nazi Germany(thus the nickname Desert Fox-aka he admired Rommel as a general).
As for no responses on his face book, he had alienated every faction of his family when he died. He didn't even have a memorial. If it appeases your anger towards him, most of which you all wished ill towards him probably took place. He died pretty miserably from what I understand. Only his mother, son, and I probably really miss him.
I apologize for my brothers unfortunate behavior(despite the fact that I had nothing to do with it), which had rightfully invoked your due ire. My brother stole from me as well, although I was not foolish enough to invest with him. He was not always like this, he was a good person once. I am angry at him everyday for the decisions he made to ruin his life, and the people who pushed him to these irresponsible scenario's. I choose to remember him as the person who stood up to bullies bigger then him to protect me when I was a small child.
