A Special Message from New JBS "Trade Spokesman," Jim Capo:

Day of Action in Congress - November 14th!

In our November Bulletin, under pending legislation, we announced that on November 14th a squad of Birchers would be putting "boots on the ground" to walk the halls of the US Congress during the lame duck session. Our plan is to distribute information requesting a NO vote on the Peru FTA, while also hand delivering copies of our special New American issue on the North American Union (NAU). We have asked Birchers and our compatriots around the country to support our troops in DC by calling, faxing and e-mailing into Congress this same day.

This all on the heels of JBS President John F. McManus appearing on an October 27th special segment of the Lou Dobbs Tonight TV show denouncing plans for an NAU. (Mr. McManus participated in a press conference held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on October 25th by the Coalition to Block the North American Union.)

Watch the McManus video clip here. (

Our message to Congress is simple: Trade deals are destroying America.

Working groups formed through the Security and Prosperity Partnership (www.spp.gov), which was initiated by the Executive Branch in a March 2005 agreement with Canada and Mexico, are part of a process to subvert the Constitution of the United States and our system of representative government. We call upon all members of Congress to investigate this charge.

As a first step, we request that Congressmen add their names as co-sponsors to House Concurrent Resolution 487, which was introduced by Congressman Virgil Goode on September 28th, 2006. A draft letter with this request to Congress has been posted for your use at our JBS website.

Secondly, we charge that efforts to integrate our economic, military and political systems with Canada and Mexico under this SPP expansion of NAFTA are part of a larger effort to erase our national sovereignty via the momentarily stalled Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) agreement.

An example of this larger effort is the Peru Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The Peru FTA should be rejected out of hand on two counts: first, it moves our nation further down the path towards being dissolved into a supranational governance structure run by un-elected international bureaucrats. Second, it allows a foreign state-controlled entity Dubai Ports World, access to operating US port facilities. Like the recent Oman FTA, which was hotly contested, the Peru FTA has specific language inserted into it to allow port operators in Peru access to our markets. Dubai Ports World is under contract as a port operator in Peru. If we have a problem with DPW gaining access to US port operations, approval of the Peru FTA means we can be called on to settle our dispute in an international tribunal not CFIUS or a court of the United States.

Please visit www.congress.org to locate the contact information for your Congressman and others in your area.

Enlist the aid of your friends and associates who are willing to work towards the defending of our nation's independence and our form of representative government.

Schedule to make your phone call, fax or e-mail contact with Congress on Tuesday, November 14th!

Immediate action is critical on this one.
