I'm a reasonably new investor, but became interested for a few reasons, for one, the company does have patent approvals for cannabis, something another company I'm in has been trying to get for some time, and yet to achieve it. Mainly I'm interested because I am a stem cell recipient, and GVHD was a major consideration in my treatment. I'll soon be 4 years post transplant and while my Dr. routinely checks me over, I don't see it as a major concern, but my Dr. at City of Hope was interested in the treatment, so I'm hoping to get him some more information about it.
I can't say if it had been available that it would have done much to help me. My post transplant complications had hospital stays for an infected catheter, shingles, and a few bouts with pneumonia. I remain on chemo and a lot of other meds with some unpleasant side effects, but it lessens the possibility of coming out of the full remission I'm in. I doubt if they would still be giving me the company's GVHD meds at this point, I was off the drugs they initially gave me by the end of the first year post transplant.
I look forward to more information from the company, and hope that City of Hope can get involved in future trials.
