we have the best healthcare for the patient in the world.

I pay $2 for 60 days of simvastin
I pay $4 for 90 days of BP med

GOOD RX....FREE (NO MEMBERSHIP) and any good pharma place compares GOOD=RX to whatever insurance you have for the lower price.

I assume this is meant facetiously. The U.S. by far has the worst healthcare system of any industrialized country. We spend far more and get far less. We leave a huge portion of our population totally uncovered, and a majority of insured patients are one serious illness away from losing their job, life savings, and their lame-ass health insurance. We force our elderly to become destitute before they become eligible for any assistance. It is not like this in other developed countries, and it is impossible to say we are even "good" not to nmention "the best."

As for GoodRx, I agree it is great, but it doesn't offer any discounts on brand name (non-generic) drugs, so it is not an adequate solution. And why is it even possible??? I use GoodRx and get my BP pill and chol drug for half the price of my commercial insurance that I pay $15K a year for the family plan. Why does a free card I can pick up off the ground cover my meds better than my insurance? That's bullshit, and it should be thought of as a scam instead of the best in the world. And don't even get me started on the federal law that prevents Medicare from negotiating drug prices. The biggest health system in the world is legally not allowed to negotiate drug prices. It is nothing more than a corporate welfare to BP.

We may have the best healthcare system in the world for shareholders of insurance companies and drug companies, but in this country, the patients are getting totally screwed.
