So what they're saying in the article is that it was indeed another schmoozing trip with zero sales. I see nothing in that article that couldn't be gained within about an hour of google searching instead of probably a large spend for "market research" with the travel. They would have been better off spending the travel money on something more worthwhile to prove themselves to a new market instead of schmoozing... like spending/sending those thousands of dollars instead on free growing equipment to a European grower and advising them on cultivation... then proving their product's value by blowing the roof off that grower's yield (and then blasting the performance results to all of their colleagues who should line up to start buying it). But realistically... If you have a great product that is unique and worthwhile but you can't sell in your own back yard, what's the point of looking far abroad where exporting, logistics, etc. will either make products more expensive for the buyer, or cut into profit margins for the seller to stay competitive?
