Cal Berkeley has been named in the cheating scheme.

Officials are investigating a member of the rowing team who allegedly never rowed. Apparently, sports that are outside the realm of football and basketball were used to get unqualified kids into school.

My youngest son graduated from Cal. He got in the old fashioned way with excellent grades and a great resume of community service.

The scandal is disheartening to me as Joe Average.
